I have been gardening, in one form or another, for over 40 years.

At a young age my parents and grandparents taught me to garden as well as how to process and preserve the fruits and vegetables produced.

My wife and I have a small 9 acre farm outside Olympia, WA. For several years we sold our products at the Olympia Farmers Market, specializing in garlic, vegetables and flowers.

We currently have a small garden that is 80′ x 120′ where we raise vegetables and berries plus a blueberry patch with 150 bushes.

Once I read Joel’s book, we began using this method and were amazed at the bounty it produced. Now we can’t imagine doing anything else.
