I have been using the straw bale system for the last 3 years with outstanding success. Here in Texas the heat in the summer is probably one of the biggest obstacles for gardeners but the straw-bale system really eliminates this obstacle. Last summer in August when every one was winding down their gardens I decided to put the straw-bale gardens to the ultimate test. It worked so well I delivered the bales to my (skeptical) mother in late September so she could enjoy her fall garden she was really excited! I was so impressed with the results in the Texas climate I added the system to my business and this spring we will be offering preconditioned bales so you can just grab and grow!
