After moving to Urana in August 2016 to find a house on a large block covered with weeds and the dusty red clay soil so well known in this area of Australia, I had to find a way to quickly establish a vegetable garden.
It was then I read about Straw Bale Gardening. Being a rural area the Riverina is known for its wheat crops and rice, canola etc, so how easy to get the straw needed to start this garden going and with the thought of No bending – No weeds – No special tools!
I am only to pleased to share my new found straw bale gardening way with people in my region and am only an email or phone call away. Even if you are in other parts of Australia do feel free to make contact, I love hearing from people.
Workshops and events are planned in 2018 and the face book page will have information on them.
