I have always wanted to plant a veggie garden but I knew I didn’t have time for all the maintenance involved in a productive garden. Like most people, I love the planting, growing and harvesting part of gardening but I hate the weeding and watering that is involved. So when I heard about Straw Bale Gardening I thought I have to give this a try it sounds perfect for me.
My husband and I planted our first Straw Bale Garden in 2014 and it was a huge success. We decided to go big or go home so we created an 18-bale garden. We couldn’t believe how easy it was. Once we planned it out, built it, conditioned the bales and planted the veggies we got to sit back and watch it grow and I mean grow. It was amazing.
Even if you aren’t an experienced gardener (like I wasn’t) you will have success with Stray Bale Gardening.
