Wahrscheinlich kommt Euch das bekannt vor:
man bekommt ein Buch in die Finger, welches einen so sehr inspiriert, dass man am liebsten den Inhalt gleich und sofort umsetzen möchte.

Tja, und so ging es mir mit dem «Strohballengardingen». In einer Zeitschrift fand ich einen sehr kurzen Bericht über Strohballen und das Buch von Joel. Mich faszinierte dieser Gedanke so sehr, dass ich mir sofort das Buch besorgte.Gesagt, getan, hatte ich das Buch innerhalb eines Tages durchgelesen und konnte es kaum erwarten, mit der Umsetzung zu beginnen.

Seit 3 Jahren gärtnere ich vorwiegend mit Strohballen und bin totaler Fan davon. Sowohl ein Deutsches, als auch Schweizer Magazin berichteten letztes Jahr über meinen Strohballengarten und seitdem bin ich noch leidenschaftlicher dabei, weil ich viele Menschen damit begeistern konnte.
Als Mitglied der ProSpeciaRara, einer «Schweizerischen Stiftung für kulturhistorischer und genetischer Vielfalt von Pflanzen» experimentiere ich gerne mit alten Gemüsesorten, die ich auf meinen Strohballen einpflanze.

Über Facebook, auf Messen und regional gebe ich Auskünfte über das Strohballengärtnern, um diese tolle Idee weiterzugeben.

In a magazine I read this short article about “straw-bale-gardening” which were pointing out the book of Joel as well. It was so fascinating to me, that I immediately bought the book.
Within one day I read the entire book and could not wait to begin with and implement.

Since three years I do this special gardening now and I truly became fan of it. Both, a german and a swiss magazine published a report about my “straw-bale-gardening” which inspired me with even more passion, because I truly get a lot of positive feedback from people, becoming interested and fascinated.

As a member of the Swiss “ProSpeciaRara” – a foundation of historic-culturel manifoldness and varieties of species – I enjoy experimenting with old vegetable sorts implanting in my “straw-bale-garden”.
